The German counterpart to the international PAfE is the Psychodrama Institute for Germany e.V. (PifE).
It is one of nine German institutes which together form the German Professional Association for Psychodrama. It is the only one of these to be organised as a non-profit association. Like its international sister organisation, it is therefore not geared towards commercial success, but towards promoting public education, training and participation in the scientific and practical development of psychodrama.
The German institute is itself a member of PAfE and FEPTO, and all its courses meet or exceed national and international training standards. There are currently two permanent training groups in Berlin and Kassel.
The partnership between PAfE and PifE is strong and enduring, as both organisations share the same origins and have developed together.
